"Delighted to make your acquaintance, Lord Fitzwilliam!"

Cambridge seems to be just like one of those exes you have such good memories about, that they always manage to make you come crawling back to them (with the difference that Cambridge actually still has a lot to offer to you).

Prepared for British weather with our raincoats on and umbrella in one hand, we were on our way back to England’s beloved student city. This time we decided to ditch the shopping part, so we would have enough time to explore what a hipster might call the “vintage” part of Cambridge.

We made our way through the food market,

where I met my yellow raincoat-doppelgänger,

found a German (well, “German”) sausage stand,

took a picture with the reincarnation of young Aileen Atkins

and nearly died of diabetes just by looking at all the sweet temptations exposed there.

As soon as we felt like we entered Hogwarts, we could already see the University of Cambridge. While getting dizzy by seeing all of the old buildings, shops and cafés, it didn’t take us long to realize that this wouldn’t be our last visit.

"Straight Outta Vogue"

After some minutes of walking, pure astonishment and attempts at not bumping into anyone while looking up with my mouth open, we set foot in the notorious Fitzwilliam museum.

As you can see, looking at his collection of prints and analysing all of the incredibly detailed paintings weren't the only things we did while walking around there.

After we were done recreating old paintings and probably pissing off too many art enthusiasts, we headed to a Greek restaurant we had discovered on our previous journey.

I am still surprised at how we managed to squeeze a way too large group into this small and cozy bistro, but I'd tell a lie if I told you I wouldn't be willing to do it again.

Believe me when I tell you that delicious food, amazing people and a beautiful city really is a hell of a good combination.

Oh Cambridge, you have not disappointed us so far. Let's keep it that way.

X

(Ps.: My camera was metaphorically on fire, which is why I will actually dedicate a whole blog post to some of the pictures I have taken, so stay tuned, I will definitely talk you all soon!)
