Welcome Days

I just woke up in my new home for the first time, after attending EF's Welcome Days in Winchester, where we got prepared for the journey ahead of us.

The arrival day was even better than I had expected. You could see the EF staff, the second you entered the airport and they helped me (and my overprotective parents) to find out where to go, and walked us through what was going to happen next.

This was where I finally met Martine, a lovely girl I chatted with on Snapchat and Facebook; rather exciting to realise that she actually was a real person. There I also met Markus and Sander, whom we ended up chatting and hanging out with the whole way to Winchester.

Meeting new people and making friends was really not as difficult as I was afraid it would be. Everyone was so friendly and open to meet new people, I mean, at least we all had at least one thing in common and had all traveled to the UK for similiar reasons.

We took so many pictures, this post could be several miles long.

This majestic place is where we had our meals together. We actually had a room for ourself, which was quite good, since we had activities going on all the time. Being able to be alone for a few minutes or before going to sleep (and showering) was just what I needed after a long day.

Oh, and there was a lot of dabbing. And dancing. And dabbing.

On Friday, we took the bus to London, and oh boy, it was definitely not enough time to see and capture your favourite attractions. I will probably post the pictures I took on my Instagram, so feel free to check it out by clicking on the picture above.

I can't wait to explore the area and actually start living here, so I think I'll close my laptop now and have my first English breakfast.

Talk to you soon! x
